Yes, the latest Samsung Galaxy S series flagship smartphone is officially here and it’s time to bring your planned savings to experience the latest innovation that Samsung brings into their Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. While the Galaxy Note 7 has ended disastrous, Samsung has promised stringent quality control and and quality assurance on their future products and here comes the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus!
As the representative Android flagship for the year 2017, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus comes with Samsung new voice assistant Bixby, the retina scanner from the Note 7 and 83% large screen to body ratio. Another major changes on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is the removal of the iconic solid Home key, which is now represented as software navigation keys within the display.

One of the biggest change from the previous S7 is the new design. The new Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus comes with an smaller top and bottom bezel and its side bezel is near invisible. It comes with display variation at 5.8 and 6.2 inches Dream Infinity display with screen to body ratio up to 83%!
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus has gone unconventional by removing the solid Home key that has been used for years. Despite removing the solid home press key, the device still can be launched from standby mode by a simple tap on the home button in the navigation bar.
Samsung also introduces their new artificial intelligence voice assistant Bixby along with a shortcut key on its side. The Samsung Bixby allow touch-less control on the smartphone by using voice. Bixby can also interpret uncompleted voice recording and complete the sentence by itself.
As for its hardware, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC or the Exynos 8895, depending on retail location. It also comes with 4GB RAM, rear 12MP and front 8MP camera along with 3000mAh battery (3500mAh battery for Galaxy S8 Plus) that support quickcharge technology.
The 12MP rear camera offers large aperture size at f/1.7 which allows greater light absorption for brighter and clearer image. The Dual Pixel also shorten the focus time on the camera and the final image and post processed with Multi Frame, a new algorithm that aims to reduce noise level in image.
The retina scanner first appeared on Galaxy Note 7 is also available on the Galaxy S8 and S8+.
Last but not least, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is available in 5 colours which are midnight black, artic silver, maple gold, coral blue and orchid gray.
Samsung also offers a complimentary AKG by Harman in-ear headphones that offers quality grade music experience.
On the side note, Samsung also introduce a side accessory for the Galaxy S8 and S8+, the DeX that instantly converts smartphone into personal computer! The display can be projected to the display when hooked up to the monitor and the dock also offers wired and wireless (Bluetooth) connectivity to connect to keyboard and mouse.
As for its availability, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available for order in US market from 21st April onward and it is also known that both flagships will be available in Malaysian market by end of April! Stay tuned!
