Huawei Malaysia has officially bring us their latest and greatest flagship yet – Mate 9. With a 12+ 20MP rear camera certified by LEICA and sporting the new state of the art Kirin 960 SoC, it is now officially available to order at a price tag at RM2699. With its iconic square box design, the Mate 9 box are now coloured in black instead of white on the Huawei P9. The LEICA Dual Camera is printed on the bottom highlights their collaboration for creating a high-end flagship class camera for enthusiasts.
The Mate 9 in mocha brown rest silently on the box and comes with a screen protector before shipped out.
The Mate 9 comes with a 5A SuperCharge charging adapter that fills in 50% of the battery level in half an hour!
The Mate 9 continues the use of USB Type C for charging and data connection.
While USB Type C isn’t much popular on certain laptops or gadgets, Huawei has prepared a microUSB to Type C converter.
Here’s the Huawei in-house earphone. Plain yet minimal.
Instead of transparent TPU cover provided with the Huawei P9, the Mate 9 comes with a Matte finished smartphone cover with an embed print “Designed by Huawei”
In short, the Huawei Mate 9 is one of the greatest build from Huawei especially on its camera and the new state of the art System on Chip. The Kirin 960 marks a new milestone for HiSilicon SoC development and it’s certainly a great achievement to compete on the world arena. Huawei has provided every essential miscellaneous accessories such as screen protector and smartphone case in the box and there isn’t anything to worry when searching a compatible case with decent quality.
