Huawei Honor China has launched their latest mid-range Honor smartphone that comes with a price tag only at RMB799 (around RM450). Captioned “Best companion for youth”, this smartphone is undoubtedly designed as a daily driver for youngster!
Honor 5A specifications:
- 5 inches GFF display with 720p HD resolution
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor
- 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM
- 3 card design (dual SIM with 1 microSD slot)
- Support VoLTE
- Support 4G LTE
- Front 8MP camera and 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture
- 3 x 77.1 x 8.45mm
- 3100mAh battery
The Honor 5A is available in 3 variant which are TD, LTE and FDD respectively. It is now opened for pre-order with a price tag at RMB 799 (roughly estimated around RM495) and will be officially available on 17th June onwards. It is also very likely for this entry level Honor 5A to enter Malaysian smartphone market.
Honor 5A has a plain polycarbonate build with a metallic shin on the edges. A brushed-like texture was added onto its rear cover that official claims that it would not retain any fingerprint in long run.

With a price tag less than RM500, the Honor 5A has much to offer in its image quality taken from its camera. The colour reproduction and representation is balanced and accurate that worth more than what it costed.
