With no intention to launch the HTC 11, HTC has recently launched 2 new devices – the U Play and U Ultra on “For U” launch event happening at Taiwan. While the latter has better specifications, both smartphone has the identical design and packed with the new HTC Sense Companion AI assistant.

The HTC U Play and U Ultra comes with Liquid Surface design with great emphasis on rounded and curved corners. Despite having the same design and colours, both model has noticeable different sizing and camera module
The newly adopted light refraction technology provides unique reflection layers on different angle. Colours are reflect in insignificant way when viewed on different angles.
Both still come with solid Home button and capacitive navigation keys.
HTC also highlighted their newest HTC Sense Companion AI assistant that manages and sort contact and controls battery consumption. It also arranges notifications, provide recommendation of nearby restaurant, automated alarm clock and auto wake when lifted.
The HTC Sense companion AI doesn’t come preloaded but it will be installed in the following new update.
Apart from black, white, blue and pink colour, HTC U Ultra also offers sapphire blue variant with 128GB onboard storage. The U Ultra will available on end of January while the U Play will be released after Chinese New Year.
As HTC executive stated that the U Ultra will be the sole flagship of 2017 has there is no intention to launch HTC 11, do you fond toward the new HTC U Ultra or U Play?
