HTC is always well known for being one of the proactive smartphone manufacturer that rolls out latest Android firmware to its devices. On a recent leak of the firmware upgrade chart from HTC, it is finally confirmed that some of the HTC smartphone will receive the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade!
Leaked by Senior ROM developer from HTC – @LlabTooFer, we can see that some of the older HTC devices is still under development. Meanwhile, it is also confirmed that the HTC One (One A9, One M9, One M9+/ME, One M8, One E8, One M8s), Butterfly gen 2 & gen 3, Desire 826/820/816/626/526 will be receiving Android 6.0 upgrade with HTC Sense UI 7.0.
Some of the HTC devices such as HTC butterfly 2nd and 3rd generation and the Desire 826/820/626 has skipped Android 6.0 and straight towards to enjoy Android 6.0.1. However, the One M9+/ME/M8/E8/M8s, Desire Eye/816/526 Android 6.0.1 upgrade is still under research and development.
Meanwhile, one of the viral smartphone from HTC- the HTC One M7 development will be ended as it will stay on Android 5.0.2 for the rest of its life.
