KGI Securities: iPhone 8 to spec revolutionary front camera made from 3 modules!

According to KGI Securities, the new iPhone 8 to be launched this year has something more to offer than a new design. The new iPhone will be sporting a revolutionary camera containing 3 modules which are camera module, infrared module and depth detection module to achieve 3D detection.

When Apple has acquired PrimseSense, it aims to bring their major feature into iPhone. The infrared sensor captures depth and combines with 2D image captured from the camera. This can achieve retina scanning ability and this feature can be implemented onto AR or VR games where user face can be integrated as part of the game.

Meanwhile, another news from TrendForce reveals and exclusive leak that the iPhone 8 will features a 5.8 inches OLED display supplied by Samsung. It will still have the same 3GB RAM as iPhone 7 and available in 64GB and 256GB storage option.
