With the news that the Kirin 980 has entered mass production, it has been known that the development of next generation Kirin processor has begun. The Kirin 1020 development is expected to complete in years and expected to have twice the performance of Huawei Kirin 970!

The HiSilicon Kirin 970 has already stand up top in the flagship smartphone game as it is the first to bring neural processing unit into its core for better artificial intelligence and machine learning progression. Despite its performance remains sub par from Snapdragon 845, the Kirin 980 is expected to cover up the difference in performance which will be unveiled in their next generation flagship smartphones.

The Kirin 1020 will support new 5G infrastructure network and expected to prevail on early 2019 with their flagship smartphones. It is expected to provide twice the performance of Kirin 970 following Moore’s law.
