LG & Google collaborates for its first Android Wear 2.0 Watch Style/Sport

Just in today, Google has officially launched the new generation of Android Wear (2.0) which has been abandoned for quite some time. Soon after the launch ended, LG proudly announces their latest collaboration with Google, the Watch Style and Watch Sport that is one of the first smartwatch the run on Android Wear 2.0. The LG Watch Style has an emphasis on outlook while the Watch Sports is build for fitness tracking and monitoring, as the name suggest.

The Watch Style comes with 18mm belt and 1.2 inches P-OLED display and its size is designed for female. Its design concept are simplistic with no extra clunky button except the sole power button. The belt is also interchangable with several colours such as black and rose gold up for selection.

The Watch Style is also powered by Snapdragon Wear 2100 clocked at 1.1Ghz and a 240mAh battery. Nonetheless, it is IP67 water and dust resistant certified.

 

As for Watch Sport, the design offers a sporty outlook with grey and dark blue colour as their primary concept. However, its belt is not interchangable as it is made from polyurethane and there are multiple hardware packed within the smartwatch. The Watch Sports has one more button than Watch Style designed to quickly launch Android Pay and Google Fit.

For its display, it has a larger P-OLED display at 1.38 inches, slightly larger than the Watch Style. However, it is also powered by Snapdragon Wear 2100, 768MB RAM, 4GB ROM and support Bluetooth, Wifi, LTE network with nanoSIM and NFC. Lastly, it also contains fitness tracking sensor such as heartbeat sensor and GPS module for location tracking.

 

The Watch Style and Watch Play will be available to purchase in the US from 10th Feb onward with a price tag at USD$249 and $349 respectively. It will be soon available in Canada, Russia, UAE, South Africa, Korea, UK and more.
