While quad-core and octa-core is now become a common term in mobile processor, the Taiwan electronics chip manufacturer MediaTek has breakthrough the limit of their octa-ocre processor. The new processor codenamed Helio X20 is packed with 10 cores in a single chip that brings more performance into the device.
The Helio X20 processor comes with 2 Cortex-A57 and 4 Cortex-A53. Apart from the presence of 10 cores, Helio X20 comes packs with Turbo allow tuning in the clock rate in the processor. This MediaTek processor is expected to be available in the market on July 2015. We will then evaluate the processor efficiency and power consumption during the time.
