Just in today, MediaTek has officially launched their new Helio generation system on chip – the Helio P25. The Helio P25 is an upgrade of the previous P20 with the support 12bit dual ISP and support up to 24MP rear camera or 13MP+13MP dual rear camera along with high dynamic range video recording. The SoC also significantly reduce the exposure time with the new 3A engine upgrade.
Apart from the upgrade on camera support, the Helio P25 is based on octacore Cortex A53 clocked at 2.5Ghz, a same GPU Mali T880 MP2 from P20 at 900Mhz and support up to 6GB PLDDR4X RAM.
Besides, the Helio P25 also comes with stronger network chip with improved LTE upload, featuring Envelope Tracking Module and increased data transfer with lower energy consumption up to 25%.
