The Google Photos was re-introduced during the Google I/O 2015 which promises free unlimited storage and comes with tons of new features including image recognition for labelling. However, this label feature went something wrong as one of the Afro-american was being labelled as gorilla in Google Photos!
After realized his friend was being labelled as a gorilla based on Google image recognition algorithm, the user soon lodge a complain to a Google engineer, Yonatan Zunger. He respond quickly and promises the user that Google is now fixing this issue.
Aint nothing is perfect! Hopefully Google Photo recognition algorithm will be more precise in the future in recognition objects and faces!
