With both smartphones priced less than RM1000, it has a decent screen to body ratio which utilizes virtual navigation keys to save extra space. It’s hard to differentiate between J6+ and J4+ from the front but the J6+ has a dual rear camera but the J4+ only has a 5MP rear camera.

Both are powered by Snapdragon 425, 3300mAh battery and a rear 13MP camera with f/1.9 aperture. For the J6+, there is an extra 5MP supplementary lens and fingerprint sensor on the side.

In terms of display resolution, the J6+ still wins because of the use of Full HD display instead of 720p display on the J4+. Nonetheless, Samsung Galaxy J6+ still wins because it has a much larger RAM and storage capacity at 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM while the J4+ is much more the casual users without high demand on multitasking.

As both are entry level smartphone, it is suprising to them both feature face recognition as authentication, despite the J4 Plus does not have a fingerprint sensor.
