With the official Apple World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2017 officially commenced early today, Tim Cook has brought us new product and features highlight including the new iMac Pro to the iOS 11 within 2 hour. Here’s what’s new from Apple this year.
tvOS
As iPhone and iPad has change consumers habit on viewing dramas and video, the new tvOS will be collaborating with Amazon to bring more than 50 channels including NBS, Discovery GO, Spike etc to its client.
watchOS 4
In the meantime, the hot selling Apple Watch will comes with a revamped interface on the new watchOS 4. Apart from change in user interface, it also added with new design and Toy Story theme for the Apple Watch.
The Siri Watchface will be the new Apple Watch user interface and provides relevant and suggested information to you per daily basis.
The new WatchOS 4 supports more than 80 fitness equipment that enhances information synchronization across device and smartphone. It can now record multiple activities such as boking, running, swimming at once.
The Apple Music on watchOS 4 is another major highlight as it also come with a new UI design.
All existing Apple Watch will be receiving WatchOS 4 upgrade on the coming September.
macOS High Sierra
Apart from watchOS and tvOS, Apple also introduce their enhanced version of macOS known as “High Sierra”. Its name is likely originated from the previous macOS version – “Sierra” which comes with improvement and thus named “High Sierra”
Apple also express that High Sierra will have the world faster browsing experience with 80% more performance than conventional internet browser.
The new Safari also comes with AutoPlay block to avoid unnecessary media or advertisement distraction and affect browsing experience.
Similar with Chrome’s Incognito mode, Safari also offered an “Intelligent Tracking Prevention” that provides privacy by preventing website tracking activity.
The Mail feature is now available in full-screen mode.
Photos now comes with filter and allow you to categorized and sort them easier.
The new inbuilt editing tool also packed with some features resembles from Adobe Photoshop. It’s a great photo editing tool for those who wish to start from the basics.
The new Apple File System also provides better file processing for an ultra responsive user experience.
Besides, the Metal 2 now comes with Metal Machine Learning with 10x more power that enhances graphical processing and works well on Unity and Unreal Engine.
All 2009 Macbook, iMac and 2010 MacBook Air/ Pro, mini and Mac Pro to receive the new macOS High Sierra system upgrade. Developers can try out the beta today.
iOS 11
Here comes the biggest highlight! The new iOS 11 packed with tons of new feature such as Siri instant translation to 25 language, new AppStore and Control Center interface, indoor navigation on Apple Maps, Apple Pay integration with iMessage and ARKit.

The new iMac Pro comes with a 27 inches 5K display along with 18 CPU cores, 128GB RAM and 4TB storage! It comes with 3 variants, the 21 inches standard model, 21.5 inches 4K display and the 27 inches 5K display with price starts at $4999 (~RM21,900)
Last but not least, Apple also launched the new 10.5 inches iPad Pro which is now available in Malaysia with 10.5 inches model at RM2999 while the 12.9 inches Model at RM3499.
