Android founder’s Essential Phone officially launched today at RM2990!

Since last year, a new trend of smartphones with large screen to body ratio has emerged on smartphone market since the launch the Xiaomi Mix followed by Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6. Today, the founding father of Android – Andy Rubin has launched a new flagship named as Essential Phone PH-1. It comes with a large display with an aspect ratio at 19:10, comparatively larger than the Galaxy S8.

As a flagship, the 8MP front camera supports 4K video recording while the dual rear 13MP camera supports 360 camera. It is one of the greatest camera on an Android smartphone out there.

Despite the removal of 3.5mm audio jack, Essential Phone provides a converter USB to 3.5mm audio jack for the USB Type C port. This smartphone will be first available in the US at $699 while the panaromic camera + smartphone combo is at $749.
