In the first attempt to roll out updates to all Samsung Galaxy S8 line up users, the update has been cut off when users reported on the system crash due to OS bug in the latest update. Nonetheless, the update has been restored today and you can update your Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus to Android Oreo today.
According to SAM Mobile, the update release for the Galaxy S8 has the firmware number G950FXXU1CRB7 while the S8 Plus firmware number is G955XXU1CRB7. This new update brings an entirely new operating system for a better user experience alongside with new features such as new Edge functionality, new clock and Dual Messenger.
If you have yet to receive update notification, simply look into the software update page in the settings to download the new update sized around 1GB. Remember to back up all your data and ensure your smartphone has a decent amount of battery during the update!
