According to Macotakara, the 4th generation Apple iPad Air could be using USB-C port. This will be the 2nd Apple products that will be using USB-C port in their device rather than their proprietary lightning cable. The newly redesigned iPad Mini will still preserve the lightning cable port.
The 4th generation iPad Air shall offer some upgrades compared to 11″ iPad Pro. While the iPad Air may feature a larger display, smaller bezels and USB C port, there could be other feature to be added to stand out from the entry level iPad.
With the pricing strategy of iPhone SE will brings the product to be more affordable in the market, the iPad Air may deploy similar strategy given the success of iPhone SE.
