Apple launches new Macbook with minor upgrade from RM5499!

As everyone is expecting that Apple will introduce their latest generation Apple MacBook Air on the upcoming WWDC few months later, Apple has surprises its fan by launching the new MacBook today along with few minor upgrades. Besides, the new MacBook also comes with their iconic colour from the 6S – the Rose Gold which will be one of the colour selection available.


The new MacBook sports the 6th generation Intel Core M processor clocked at 1.1Ghz or 1.2Ghz. It comes with TurboBoost which makes the processor reach its maximum clock rate at 3.1Ghz. The Intel HD Graphics 515 is also 25% more faster than last generation and the 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 256 and 512GB SSD makes the MacBook runs even faster. This new generation comes with minor upgrade in battery capacity, which now can last for 10 hours with WiFi connection.

The new MacBook also offers their exclusive Retina Display into a 12 inches display monitor. The keypad still comes with Force Touch technology and 1 USB Type-C port. Apart from silver, gold and space grey, Apple also has added Rose Gold as one of the colour option available in the new MacBook.

In terms of pricing, the standard (low-end) model comes with Intel Core M3 processor and 246GB onboard SSD are priced at RM5499 while the 1.2Ghz Core M5 and 512GB PCIe SSD comes with a price tag at RM6699. Other specifications remains the same for both.
