According to report by 9to5Mac, Apple has recently applied a new patent which shows integration of Touch ID into Apple Watch rotating dial. This allow easier and secure access to one’s Apple Watch.
The patent was submitted by Apple during November 2018 and it was just recently leaked. The new patent shows the rotating dial position is preserved and the addition of Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
Currently, the Apple Watch can be unlocked by entering pin on screen or unlocking through iPhone. With the addition of Touch ID, unlocking Apple Watch will get much easier.
