In the recent month, there are several sources that shows Apple’s intention to stop using Intel processor in their upcoming Macbooks, iMac and Mac Pro. According to one sources, Apple will be announcing that it will be using ARM based processor for Mac product on WWDC 2020 as an update to all developers.
Currently Apple is using Intel based processor with x86 architecture. It will be shifting into ARM based processor gradually so that more Mac lineup is able to conserve and provide more battery power and operation time.
Apple will be using ARM licensed technology which is different from Intel architectures. The earliest Macbook with ARM based processor is expected to be seen on 2021.
