With the collaboration with Tencent Games, ASUS has finally released the new ROG Phone 2 at China. This flagship gaming smartphone offers unprecedented Snapdragon 855 SoC along with 120 Hz display. Let’s have a look below!

The ASUS ROG Phone 2 offers an even larger 6.59 inches display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. It also supports 10 bit HDR mode so that dark area now appears much brighter.
Furthermore, ASUS adds in the in screen fingerprint sensor too!
The 48MP rear camera is powered by Sony IMX 586 SoC, aperture at f/1.79, pixel size at 1.6um. It also comes with dual flash. The secondary camera is a 125 degree wide angle lens (as the name suggest). There is also a 24MP front facing selfie camera.
Furthermore, the audio of the device is tuned by DTS:X to achieve 2.5x louder audio for an enhanced experience.
Specifications wise, the ROG Phone 2 brings the new Snapdragon 855+ SoC and capable to reach 2.96Hz clock rate. The Adreno 640 GPU offers 15% clock rate than standard units. Last but not least, it is offered up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS 3.0 storage.
All of these performance and functionality is driven by a 6000mAh battery for 7 hours of non PUBG, 7.5 hours of Kings Honor! This battery is also can be charged via QC 4.0 with 30W power input.
ROG Phone 2 also offers the similar X mode available on the first generation that dedicate the smartphone into gaming. It is also possible to adjust the frame rate of the game, managing cooling, RGB lightning and AirTrigger function.
The new AirTrigger II reduce vibration latency to 20ms instead of 63ms. It is also included with other functions and gesture for a variety of gaming control.
As for its cooling, ASUS applied the GameCool II cooling system that relies on vent holes, heat sinks and more.
ASUS has secured the connection with quad WiFi specs and support 802.11ad standard for 3ms latency and up to 4.6GB/s WiFi
Other accessories includes the TwinView Dock which is similar with the first generation. It comes with high refresh rate at 120Hz and 1ms response time. This accessories even come with additional 5000mAh battery!
Along with the TwinView Dock is the Kunai Gamepad which can be dissembled similar to the JoyCon from Nintendo Switch. It can be used along with TwinView Dock!
