Earlier today, ASUS has launched the Zenfone 3 smartphone series on Taiwan while the Zenfone 3 Deluxe is the first among all that sports the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe comes with 5.7 inches Super AMOLED display, 6GB RAM and 256GB ROM and a 8MP/23MP camera combination. The recommended retail price for Zenfone 3 Deluxe in Taiwan is NTD 24,990 which is around RM3100.
The Snapdragon 821 is the successor variant of the S820 SoC that comes with Kryo core that has higher clock rate at 2.4Ghz. It also has 10% more performance than the previous Snapdragon 820.
ASUS also compared the benchmark score of the CPU and GPU with the iPhone 6S that shows a big gap of difference.
