Apart from the security, one of the biggest selling point of the Blackberry smartphone is the BBM messenger. However, Blackberry now announces discontinuation and termination of services for BBM from 31st May onward.
This only affect personal consumer version as the enterprise BBM (BBMe) remains available. It is still possible to use BBMe on iOS and Android platform. There will be bi-annual charge for BBMe at US$2.5.
