The market research & analytic firm – Canalys released a report today stating Huawei surpassed Samsung and won the top smartphone shipment in Q2 2020. This is the first time in 9 years that others brands except Apple and Samsung won in the first time.
According to the report, HUAWEI has shipped 55.8 million smartphones globally, down 5% year-on-year; the second-ranked Samsung smartphone shipped 53.7 million units, down 30% year-on-year from the second quarter of 2020.
Along with US trade restrictions, HUAWEI international sales has dropped down by 27% while domestic sales increase by 8% due to recovery of COVID-19 in China.
