Earlier this morning, Celcom (Axiata) & Digi has suspending their trading in Bursa Malaysia and raises suspicion on collaboration. In the next few hours, The Edge has reported that Axiata (parent company of Celcom) & Telenor (holds 49% Digi stocks) announces collaboration.
After this merging, Telenor holds 56.6% of stock shares while Axiata holds 43.5%. The collaboration between both companies will create a mega telco company in Malaysia.
Under their collaboration, there will be 60,000 telco coverage which covers 300 million users nationwide. This merging process is likely to be completed by Q3 2019.
