The rise of crime rates in Malaysia makes most parents worry on its children safety and whereabouts as they could easily fell prey to kidnappers and snatchers on the street. With that in mind, Digi and Child Rights Coalition Asia has launched the new Family Safety App where parents can monitor the safety and whereabouts of the children anytime.
Digi Family Safety App function：
- locate family members whereabouts with GPS (both party must install the app)
- Check in through App to report position
- Once family members/ children has leave custom area, parents will receive immediate notification
- An emergency button that will broadcast text message after a few seconds.
- Parent controls (Website filter, App filter etc)
- Monitor online and web browsing time
- Once the smartphone has lost, the in-built safety feature will ring the alarm on the smartphone even in silent mode. The smartphone can also be rendered unusable remotely.
The Digi Family Safety comes with free and paid version. The free version allows addition of 2 child into the app and support basic feature such as location tracking. The paid version with monthly commitment of RM5 will have complete features listed above. Non-Digi subscriber is only limited to the free version of the app.
