After months of waiting, Pixel and Pixel XL has finally surfaced on the Google product launch event yesterday. As a classical flagship of the Google smartphone, it is equipped with top in range hardware along with a unique design and became the spotlight of the media attention right now.

At the launch event, Google specifically highlight the top 5 features offered in Pixel and Pixel XL that are Google Assistant, photography, storage, video communication and virtual reality.
Google Assistant
With the advancement in artificial intelligence, the Google Assistant now offers solution such as music playback, location search, restaurant recommendation and other search. All of that is done with a single long press on Home button.
Camera
While not following trend of the dual rear camera, the single 12.3MP rear camera on the Pixel and Pixel XL has achieved a score of 89 at DxOMark which surpasses iPhone 7 and Nexus 6P.
Smartbust feature allows user to capture moving object with a clear resolution.
The new HDR+ offers twice the image processing speed and enhances the photography experience.
It also offers stabilization option in video recording.
Storage
If you are an Android user, chances are you are already using Google Photos to backup your images. Google now offers free unlimited photos and video at full resolution for Pixel and Pixel XL.
Ouch, Apple.
Communication
The previously introduced Google Duo is also available in Pixel and Pixel XL.
VR
Both smartphones are Daydream Ready where user can enjoy the DayDream VR functionality when it is launched.
The quickcharge enabled battery allow the battery to last for 7 hours after charged for 15 minutes.
Apart from running the stock and latest Android 7.1, it will be able to receive latest Android update and security patches as frequent as Nexus smartphone and comes with 24 hours customer service hotline.
Specification varies between these both Pixel are the display size, resolution and its battery capacity.
Instead of some fancy name like matte black, space gray etc, the Pixel and Pixel XL comes in 3 colour named as Quite Black, Really Blue and Very Silver.
The Google Pixel comes at 32GB & 128GB at $649 and $769 respectively while the Pixel XL at 32GB and 128GB priced at $769 and $869.
It is now officially open for pre-order in the US, Austrailia, Canada, Germany and UK with a price tag from US$649. However, no news for Malaysian Nexus enthusiasts yet.
