The OPPO R9 has been previously launched in China, and now it is coming to Malaysia! Renamed as the OPPO F1 Plus with a slogan “Selfie Expert”, the OPPO F1 Plus will be officially available for sale on Sunway Pyramid on 2pm tomorrow! However, we’re honored to receive the OPPO F1 Plus a day before its launch! Let’s have a closer look!

The OPPO F1 Plus box comes with a simple rectangle box with the smartphone model design printed on the top along with the ‘Selfie Expert’ slogan printed at the bottom. It is undoubted that this smartphone is born for taking selfies!

Here comes the essential accessories of this smartphone. The travel adapter along with charging cable is placed on the bottom of the box along with the earphone. On a side note, this OPPO F1 Plus is originally marketed on Vietnam hence the travel adapter looks slightly different from the local charging adapter.
It comes with a complimentary screen protector within the box!
When the display is dimmed, it can be seen that the OPPO F1 Plus comes with a very thin bezel along its display!
A tiny black bezel is also observed beside the display. This width is satisfactory and acceptable for us. How about you?
The proximity sensor and front camera is located alongside the front call speaker on the top of the smartphone. The front camera looks nothing flashy but it is a 16MP camera with 1/3 inches light sensor, 5P lens and has a wide angle shot up to 78.1 degree!
This time OPPO has finally made the front sensor placed on the front and the home button. It has a fast fingerprint recognition speed at 0.2 seconds that is highly responsive! the recent menu keys are located on the left while the back button is located on the right.
The F1 Plus Rose Gold comes with whole metallic build with 2 white CNC stripes for signal reception.
The 13MP rear camera is slightly protruded.
A noise cancellation microphone is located on the top and the round edge makes it more comfortable when sit right on palm.
Earphone jack, mono speaker and microUSB port is located on the bottom.

SIM card slot is located on the right. The F1 Plus SIM card slot comes with a hybrid design where the SIM 1&2 supports nanoSIM while SIM 2 supports microSD or the additional of secondary SIM.
With its round edge design, the smartphone very comfortable in terms of handling and gripping. The 5.5 inches Full HD AMOLED display also very eye pleasing while the tiny bezel makes viewing experience beautiful again.
The OPPO F1 Plus has a very similar look with the iPhone 6S in which we almost mistaken during review period. Nevertheless, the OPPO F1 Plus is one of the best looking smartphone from OPPO that puts its highlight on front facing camera dedicated for taking selfies!
With this smartphone going for sale tomorrow, it is expected that the F1 Plus will be priced around RM1898. We will update you as soon as this smartphone is launched!
