Google launches Fast Pair for quicker Bluetooth device connection

Tired of finding your wireless earphones model in the list of Bluetooth visible devices? Google has launched a new Android feature named as Fast Pair that allows you to connect to your wireless earphones or speaker instantly. This feature works when your device is in close proximity with your smartphone and you will be prompted for pairing option.

The Fast Pair allow smartphone to detects wireless earphones or speaker with Bluetooth LE accessories which makes the connection easier, similar with some of the earphones equipped with W1 chip compatible with Apple systems.


Fast Pair must is only compatible with systems higher than Android 6.0 and Google Play Services version 11.7 and above. However, the earphones also requires Bluetooth LE chip and the currently available models are Pixel Buds and soon to be added Plantronics Voyager 8200.
