According to a report by La Vanguardia, Mobile World Congress organizer will held a meeting on 14th February to decide whether to postpone or to cancel Mobile World Congress 2020, which is set to end of this month. The organizer GSMA has not reply any update on this issue.
With the widespread of COVID-19 plague, LG, ZTE, Sony and NVIDIA has been pulling out from the Mobile World Congress earlier on. Recently, Intel, Facebook, Cisco and vivo will also be pulling out from the launch. There could be more manufacturer pulling out from this event due to the risk of the virus infection.
In the previous year, the Mobile World Congress attached over 100 thousands participants with economic boosts from 500 million onward. Although GSMA has expressed their intention to ban participants from China Hubei, it still doesn’t resolve participants concerns on viral infection.
Whether is it the MWC 2020 will be postponed or cancelled, all answers will be revealed 2 days later.
