The Nokia 8.1 still has the notch remained while body is added with metal frame and front and rear panel are covered in 2.5D glass. The dual rear camera does appear slightly intrusive. It has a 6.18 inches FHD display with HDR 10 support, 96% colour gamut and 1:1500 contrast ratio.
Nokia 8.1 is also infused with Android One which means guaranteed 2 years Android firmware upgrade and 3 years security patch. There is also a 3500mAh battery which supports 18W quickcharge technology. Given that Nokia with Android One is fairly minimalistic, the battery should last a day or two.
The 12MP + 13MP ZEISS certified dual rear camera is the biggest highlight of this smartphone and further supported with OIS and AI recognition for a better depth calculation and enhances portrait mode. The front 20MP also supports portrait mode too.
Nokia 8.1 will retails in Malaysia for RM1699 on 18th Jan 2019 and available in blue and silver.
