Huawei brings StorySign app that translates words into sign language for the deaf

In the recent article reported by Android Authority, Huawei has recently collaborated with European Union for the Deaf, Penguin & Aardman to developed an app named StorySign. It is an app designed to enhance learning of deaf children by utlitizing optical character recognition & AI technology to distinguish & translate the words into sign language.

As there are multiple sign language standard across the world, StorySign currently supports standards from UK, France, German, Spain, Italy, Nehterlands, Portugal, Ireland, Deutsch etc. It is possible to download this app via Google Play and Huawei AppGallery and it is compatible with smartphones across Android 6.0.

Such sign language translation app has a great potential as there are over 46 billions are affected in hearing issues and 34 million of them are children. The StorySign app could enhance learning for the children with hearing disabilities.
