Huawei develops Track AI to assist visually impaired child

Huawei’s AI development has been growing progressively and partly contributed from the Kirin 980. Their AI technology is now brought into medical field to assist treatment in visually impaired kid.

As per Huawei official site, there are over 19 million visually impaired children and half can be treated. Coventional diagnosis and treatment is tough as it is fairly hard to get a child to describe which point he/she can’t see.

With the new Huawei developed Track A, cartoons were created to attract child attention and by eye tracking, it is able to assist for physician to find the correct treatment.

Huawei Track AI doesn’t not requires internet connection and diagnosis can be performed via a notebook, an eyetracker and a smartphone. Such services will be rolled out as early as in 2020.
