With the new generation of Mate series rolling out yesterday, DxOMark has updated their smartphone camera benchmark table. The HUAWEI Mate 40 series currently sits on the top of the chart with total of 136 score for its rear camera and 104 for its front facing camera, making both camera the best of both worlds.
With its release, the Mate 40 Pro has taken the crown from Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra following by P40 Pro.
The Mate 40 Pro scores at 110 for its photography and 96 for its videography. Both outperforms the camera from P40 Pro.
According to DxOMark’s analysis, HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro offers wide dynamic range which can perform well even in low-light environments. At the same time, it has excellent noise processing performance in well-lit or indoor environments. The camera have fast and accurate autofocus in video recording while maintaining details, background blur, and excellent calculations in most telephoto ranges. The disadvantage is that the range of the ultra-wide-angle lens is relatively narrow, the telephoto lens is easy to lose focus, and there will be slight underexposure and limited dynamic range when taking videos.
