Well, something special is coming! HUAWEI had just announced that they will be launching the Mate 40 series on 22th October along with the premium Mate 40 RS PORSCHE DESIGN edition.
One of the most special highlight from the leak is that the Mate 40 RS Porsche Edition features a temperature sensing technology which comes complement with the current COVID outbreak and the awareness of body temperature linked to the current pandemic. There is a preloaded app found on Mate 40 RS Porsche Design with model name KUL-AN10.
The thermometer app description states that this application will be able to measure body temperature and even objects.
To measure an object, the sensor have to be calibrated by focused to object by 50cm with no additional heat source or obstacle to obtain the most accurate reading. It can then measure temperature of a human or object with distance between 1-3cm.
It is still unclear how the thermometer on Mate 40 RS Porsche Design works but nonetheless more of it will be revealed next week.
