The launch of the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 5G marks the first 5G tablet in the Asia Pacific region and it currently retails in Malaysia at RM3299. The specifications remain the same as its standard variant but with the addition on Dual-mode 5G that supports Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) networks.
Design wise the MatePad Pro 5G comes with incredible premium leather texture that comes with green and orange. It also utilizes 3D graphite cooling technology that improves performances by 30%.
In the recently held 5G Asia-Pacific Media conference, Huawei Terminal Tablet and PC Marketing Director Cheng Lei stated that the conventional tablets comes with many problem in hardware and application level which is not resolved. However he stated that the HUAWEI has the technology and capability to resolve all of these issue.
Commercially speaking, since smartphones are lacking a large display but HUAWEI tablets are have larger display than smartphones while significantly lighter, thus there will be demands in the tablet market.
The HUAWEI MatePad Pro offers an excellent design story and has screen that takes up 90% of the body while minimizing bezel size. It uses 7nm Kirin 990 5G SoC that improves connectivity while reducing power consumption.This is what makes HUAWEI MatePad Pro 5G competitive in the market.
With the rise of 5G network and rapid development of 5G infrastructure, the MatePad Pro 5G will offer better experience in networking and connectivity. HUAWEI also supplies 40W super quickcharge and 27W wireless quickcharge as the power consumption on 5G is relatively higher than 4G devices. Hence, it stood itself significant advantage than other tablets on the market.
