Few days ago, a Weibo user has uploaded a commercial bunting showing the HUAWEI MatePad model and its design. From the poster, it highlights that the MatePad is designed for educational institution which comes with 2K display with screen protection and powered by Kirin 810 SoC.
The design of the MatePad and the MatePad Pro shares alot of similarities and it even supports the M-Pencil just like premium version MatePad Pro did.
The powerhouse of the MatePad will be the Kirin 810 SoC. It is a mid-range chip with 7nm process and based on 2x Cortex A76 which highly customized and tuned for consumer market used. It pairs along with 6x Cortex A55 high performance sub core for greater power efficiency.
The Mali G52 from the Kirin 810 also supports Kirin Gaming+ technology. It can control the frequency based on the AI and able to detects CPU load for a more balanced performance.
The MatePad specs is designed for education institution which is targeted towards students. There are online learning apps which covers learner from different age to enhance their learning experience.
Furthermore, the MatePad will be launched at end of April and could be brought along with the Nova 7 series. Stay tuned.
