The HUAWEI P40 series has just launched. This has redefined the performance for a premium flagship in Android smartphone market. As we has grabbed one of the unit, let’s have a closer look and hands on with the newest HUAWEI creation.

This is the HUAWEI P40 Pro. Our review unit is coated in jewel blue but not just the conventional blue outlook. The blue colour coating on the phone doesn’t appears very reflective, but it shines back the light through its matte surfaces. The P40 Pro has a 6.58 inches display and has a curved edges on each 4 sides. How peculiar.
Apart from a high quality display, the curved edges and the large screen to body ration also offers 90Hz refresh rate in which the input latency is greatly reduced.
The HUAWEI P40 Pro also has a dual front facing camera embedded in the top left in a hole punch display. It has a 32MP primary camera and another IR Depth camera that senses distance to create great bokeh effect.
The HUAWEI P40 Pro also has a LEICA certified camera module. It is composed of 50MP primary camera, 40MP wide angle camera, 12MP telescopic camera and 3D ToF lens. For its feature, zooming up to 50 times is no longer an issue. You can even create 4K videos with optical image stabilization too!

Spec wise, it brings the newest Kirin 990 5G SoC with 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM. The 5G SoC reduces power consumption in contrast with SoC that relies on external 5G modem. It also paired with 4200mAh battery with 40W wired and 27W wireless quickcharge.
The HUAWEI P40 Pro is now open for pre-order (along with P40) from 4th to 10th April. It currently retails at RM2799.
