On the 31th December 2019, A twitter user with name @RODENT950 leaked that the HUAWEI P40 will feature a flat screen and powered by Kirin 990 SOC, 32MP front facing camera and rear camera composed of 40MP primary camera, 20MP ultra wide angle camera, 8MP telescopic lens and TOF Leica quad rear camera. It supports 40W wired charging and 27W wireless charging.
Meanwhile, there are no detail whether the HUAWEI P40 base model to support 5G dual mode like its premium range. However, rumor has it that it features Kirin 990 5G so 5G support on this smartphone is undeniable.
From previous leak on the smartphone design, the HUAWEI P40 series will have a pill shaped front camera module composed of two front facing camera and L shaped rear camera.
