LG G5 is one of a flagship from Korean smartphone giant that support the idea of modular concept. With easily swappable battery, camera or HiFi module, this extend the potential of the features that LG G5 can offer. However, the G6’s design has been leaked and it doesn’t seem that LG would want to feature modular concept on their next flagship, yet.
As for the leaked image provided by @onleaks, there isn’t any possibilities for the attachment of external modules from the LG G6 design. It could means that LG has ditched the idea of modular design previously featured on G5 if the alleged G6 appear as above. Besides, it is also noted that the power button on the left has been removed and will be replaced by double tapping through fingerprint sensor.
The dual rear camera is still present on the G6 design leak and it is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC if it launched on time. We expect LG to launch their new G series flagship by February ahead of the launch of the competitor Samsung Galaxy S8.
