Soon after Digi and U Mobile has launched their plan to attract more customers, Maxis also rolled out a new plan that promises limitless call to all Maxis/Hotlink client. Their cheapest plan was set at RM58 per month that features only 100MB of LTE data connection aparts from unlimited call to maxis number.
Comparing to other telecom carrier, 100MB of data connection per month for RM58 was no longer attractive in current art of living. It is because watching a 5 mins video at YouTube (360p) already have taken up more than 30% of the available quota. Besides, 100MB might not be sufficient for those users who surf social websites daily for a month. The highest quota of the plan (2GB) sets at Rm128 which is highest price per quota compared to other telco carriers. The addition of the quota is also not economically feasible for heavy internet users. However, this plan features unlimited call to Maxis numbers and we believe this plan is targeted towards frequent callers.
