MediaTek Helio X30 is a freaking 10 multicore processor!

What kind of sorcery is this? Just after the announcement of the Helio X20 for around 3 months, MediaTek now rumored to start their development of a 10 core mobile processor. Codenamed Helio X30, this mobile processor could means a revolutionary new path for all other chipset manufacturer out there that promises incredible smartphone performance. Since X20 will be marketed on the end of this year, we might have to wait for 1 year for the processor to be ready and available to be built into next-gen smartphones.

Internet user @Kuro_Ne_Ko stated that the MediaTek X30 processor is a 16nm process and packs with 2x Cortex A53 1Ghz, 2x Cortex A53 1.5Ghz, 2x Cortex A72 2Ghz and 4x Cortex A72 2.5Ghz. This multicore processor also comes with 2 LPDDR4 clocked at 1600Mhz and 4GB eMMC 5.1. Graphic wise, this beast sports a ARM Mali GPU 800Mhz.

He also stated that the X22 is a processor with a minor upgrade from the X20 in terms of clock rate and no much difference is observed.

Although there isn’t a known launch date for this processor, if this processor is high performance and low heat output chip, Qualcomm has to step up more to compete in the mobile chip markets.
