The newest Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with embedded AI enhancement functionality no longer falls in the 800 series, but instead it comes with a new name such as Snapdragon 8150. The new processor is said to be the greatest chipset for AI to date with benchmark scores overflowing its predecessor Snapdragon 845, MediaTek upcoming AI chip and Huawei Kirin 980 with dedicated NPU.
Meanwhile, a conversation between Meizu executive in Weibo has been screenshot and posted online hinting that the Meizu 16s will be powered by the Snapdragon 8150. If that’s being true, it will be the first batch to make Snapdragon 8150 chipset happen and it will be coming on May next year.
