Microsoft accidentally signed a driver that contains malware!

Recently, Microsoft has made a mistake where it signed a driver package that contains a malware. The misapproved driver comes with the name “Netfilter” which contains rootkit.

The driver is intended to be a game driver and once executed, it will provide the credentials of the player to hacker for full control. After it was discovered, Microsoft has suspended the developer account and currently under Microsoft investigation.

At this moment the Netfilter rookit hasn’t grabbed any credentials but it has hinder Microsoft’s reputation in software integrity.
