Few years ago mobile payment in the market are rarely implemented due to various security concerns and technological barrier. However tech giants from Google and Apple has rolled out their own payment system namely Google wallet and Apple Pay, in which users can pay for the service with a mobile phone. Each of their payment service are proprietary as each tech giant caters the service onto certain proprietary operating system such as Android and iOS. Microsoft decided to join the mobile payment industry to provide mobile payment system for Windows mobile.
The pictures above shows that Microsoft have registered and submitted their patent in creating a new mobile payment system platform. It also shows that Microsoft will be cooperating with Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FinCEN) to further improves the security of the payment process as well as defense against criminals.
