New vulnerabilities discovered on Microsoft Edge, Safari, Chrome and Firefox

In a recent investigation by FingerprintJS, several desktop browsers has suffered a new vulnerability called “scheme flooding” which makes it open for attack including tracking user information.

The affected browsers are primarily on the desktop web browser such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Tor. This malicious tracking can be used regardless of browser used and even with VPN activated.

Google Chrome has recently announced a workaround to temporarily avoid this vulnerability. However it is still being found possible be tracked even with the workaround. Safari suffered the worst before there is no active protection system.

The only thing to do is to wait for browsers to release a new update or use mobile browser instead.
