Sending messages to wrong recipients or misspelling can be awkward at times. As message has been sent to the WhatsApp server, modifying and deleting message is usually not an option but this fact is likely to change in future WhatsApp update. According to WABetaInfo, it is possible to revoke and edit messages that has been sent to the server (but not received or read by recipients) to be edited or revoked and this feature is likely to be implemented in future updates.
