Nokia 8 with a dual ZEISS lens & Snapdragon 835 officially launched at RM3000!

After a long wait, HMD Global officially bring us the most premium Nokia flagship to date – the Nokia 8 smartphone. The Nokia 8 is mainly equipped with dual rear camera with a well known German lens manufacturer – ZEISS. Let’s have a look at the specifications and features highlights of the new Nokia 8!

The Nokia 8 is equipped with a unibody display enhanced with 2.5D glass. It preceded the Nokia 5 design with a curved rear panel but unfortunately it’s only IP54 water splash resistant only, losing out from the other flagship that offers IP68 and above.

As for its display, the Nokia’s LCD is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and offers brightness up to 700 nits so there’s no fuss viewing the display under the sun. It also features something called Glance Screen, an AOD alike features from Samsung for convenience to check through notifications and time.

 

Hardware wise, it is speced with the industrial latest Snapdragon 835 SoC with 6GB ram and 128GB ROM. It also runs on the new Android 7.1.1 which stands a chance for a new Android O upgrade.

The camera is one greatest highlight of the Nokia 8. It has dual rear camera certified by ZEISS,  a German well known camera manufacturer. The camera is assisted with OIS that enhances  stability when talking videos. It’s going to be great for a smartphone camera.

Apart from the ZEISS camera, Nokia also brings OZO Audio into the new Nokia 8. The OZO Audio offers immersive surround and rich audio experience. It also comes with 3 microphones to retain audio alongside with 4K video recording. Besides, Nokia also adds Bothie mood that livestreams front and rear video camera that gives user a new kind of live video perspective.

 

Last but not least, the Nokia 8 will be priced at 599 euro (roughly around RM3000) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant. There’s also a 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM variant available in 3 colours.
