Earlier today, OnePlus founder cum CEO stated on Weibo that OnePlus has completed its research & development for 120hz display.
Some netizens commented that if the OnePlus 8 will be featuring 120Hz display, it could be a huge project and may potentially increases its smartphone retail cost.
During the launch of OnePlus 7 Pro last year, OnePlus CEO spend 100 million RMB along with Samsung to develop the best display on the market. Such display could cost 2 to 3 times the conventional market value for display.
OnePlus 7 Pro is the first to bring 90Hz display rate in action with 2K resolution in its OLED panel. If the 120Hz display is to be featured, it may be first equipped on the OnePlus 8 series.
