As smartphones now comes with the easily swap-able battery like those old generation mobile phone, only smartphone with a large battery capacity and lower power consumption or a smartphone with quickcharge technology enabled is able to thrive in the market today. Apart from OPPO’s VOOC quickcharge technology, Qualcomm also did a pretty good job for their QuickCharge 3.0 technology for their flagship processor. The new generation QuickCharge 4.0 technology is able to supply 28W power output and will be first featured on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 launching Q1 2017.
According to fudzilla, QC4.0 will provide 5V/4.7A, 5V/5.6A and 9V/4A power output rate and the power conversion is managed by Qualcomm QC3.0 Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage (INOV) algorithm that balance the power output for each charging status.
With a power output of 28W, it doesn’t damages the internal circuit and compartment and Qualcomm ensures that the charging rate is reduced when the battery temperature increased drastically.
