Realme 5 series launched in India: SD712, 48MP quad camera from RM583!

Earlier today, Realme has launched the Realme 5 series in Indian market. The biggest highlight of the smartphone is the quad rear camera which offers resolution up to 48MP! The most premium Realme 5 model offers Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 as default, VOOC 3 quick charge and more!

is Realme 5 Pro uses a combination of diamond-cut and gradient colors with green and blue on its rear panel. Realme claims that they have used up up to 133 times of polishing & grinding on this phone to create such visual effect.

The rear camera is a combination of 48MP primary camera, 8MP wide angle camera, 2MP portrait camera, 2MP macro camera with 119 degree wide angle lens. It supports Super Nightscape, 4cm macro hot and portrait mode.

The Realme 5 Pro offers Snapdragon 712 AIE SoC with 10nm process and offers Andreno 616 as its GPU. It offers up to 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM with LPDDR4 & UFS 2.1.

In terms of battery, it uses a 4035mAh battery and supports VOOC 3.0 (20W) fast charge. According to Realme, Realme 5 Pro can fully charge the phone in 80 minutes, and can charge 43% of the battery in an hour.

Realme 5 Pro also offers fingerprint sensor with new water splash resistant design.

Realme 5 Pro is available in 4+64GB, 6+64Gb and 8+128GB versions and is priced at Rs 13,999 (approx. RM816), Rs. 14,999 (approx. RM875) and Rs. 16,999 (approx. RM991). It is now available in India on September 4 and has yet to arrived in Malaysia.

The biggest difference between Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro is the screen size and camera configuration. Realme 5 has a larger screen size and HD+ resolution, but the rear main camera on the lens has been reduced from the 48 million pixels of the Pro version to 12 million pixels. The lens is a 13 megapixel lens, the battery is 5000mAh battery, and the processor is Snapdragon 665.

In terms of selling price, Realme 5 has 3+32GB, 4+64GB and 4+128GB versions, which are priced at 9,999 rupees (about RM583), 10,999 rupees (about RM641) and 11,999 rupees (about RM700). It was sold in the Indian region on August 27, and there is no news of selling in Malaysia.

Intrigued by the legendary 64MP camera? Realme didn’t release the phone this time, but there was a little bit of a preview. We now know that Realme’s 64-megapixel lens will be Realme XT, and it will also be equipped with a rear-camera configuration.
